Throughout the last season all of my newly commissioned pieces have been specifically created to promote the stop Asian American Pacific Islander hate movement. Since the beginning of the pandemic, anti-asian hate crimes in the U.S. have increased extensively. As I am committed to reestablish hope within our community, my hope is that my compositions will offer solace to the AAPI community and furthermore, to empower them to fight against systematic oppression. My artistic goal is through lending my creative voice, I will help encourage those who are marginalized and voiceless to stand up and amplify themselves for their basic human rights.
